Here we go .. this Saturday Skills you can use in an age of upheaval.
We invite you to join Caitriona and Michele
this Saturday, September 26th, Noon – 3:00 PM
Our hearts go out to all those who experienced loss of many kinds over the past several months, and our admiration to those who have shown so much courage and resilience.
All true journeys begin with longing. To travel a road without longing or love,
is to walk through a land where nothing is alive. Rumi
.. the world we long for
Over the last few months, many of us are learning,
—again or for the first time,
that the illusion of certainty and security do not actually make you safe.
Recently we’ve heard lots of people speak about resilience.
Resilience is like a willow in the wind,
able to bend in the fiercest storms.
But there’s something else.
Under immoveable pressure and heat
precious gems are made,
—diamonds, able to withstand heat and stress,
and capable of being fashioned into the sharpest blades.
Between the two, the resilience of the willow,
and the unmoving assurance of a diamond
perhaps we can move closer towards the realization
of who we are as human beings,
whatever the circumstance we may face.
Times of uncertainty and change
provide unprecedented opportunities
to reclaim our vitality as human-beings.
The fluidity of the willow and the unfailing values
engendered by the diamond.
