“It is … date or month or season/year.. etc .. I am .. ” Be as specific as you can. The time frame is up to you, though keep it within 2 years or so.Describe every sensory detail you care to include; sounds, sights, smells, tastes, sensations, emotional states etc.
Include every aspect of your life; where and how you live and work, family, relationships, health, what you do for fun.Write in the positive i.e. Do not describe negative habits, emotions, events that no longer occur, only but the positives that now replace them. For example, do not write “I no longer hate working out,” or “I no longer struggle to get to the gym.” but, “I head to gym with exhilaration and excitement feeling really great about my body.”
Imagine what might be possible once you open to it. Stretch yourself. Think big. Know that you can rewrite this as needed in the future. In fact, We do this exercise at least once a year. The vision changes as your life and imagination expand to meet it. Like your life itself, it is always a work in progress.
Don’t be concerned with syntax, spelling, grammar. The process is the most important thing. Write it in one sitting. Edit it to your liking when you are done if you like, but avoid stopping to edit while you go. Make it spontaneous. Have fun!
I’d love to read what you come up with. Please email or fax your Ideal Day
